EANTC (European Advanced Networking Test Center) showcased the latest advances in MPLS and Ethernet-based solutions with 15 leading vendors taking part during the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress held in Paris last February.

Successfully tested during the forum were the Precision Time Protocol (IEEE 1588-2008) and Synchronous Ethernet -- solutions for clock synchronization of mobile base stations - and the multi-vendor interoperability of Ethernet operation, administration and maintenance performance Monitoring (ITU-T Y.1731).

Also, EANTC tested the current options in MPLS inter-carrier connectivity and verified IPv6 support in MPLS networks, which has recently received increased interest from several large service providers, specifically in relationship with next-generation mobile phones.
