Global data center provider Equinix has named Alex Tam as managing director for Greater China.
Tam will target growth and new business in Hong Kong and Shanghai, in segments including outsourcing, business continuity and cloud-based service delivery.
Before joining Equinix, Tam worked at BT as the general manager of data centers in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for establishing the company’s local data center operation and for developing the data center and IT outsourcing services strategy.
Prior to BT, he was the CEO of iAdvantage where he spearheaded the data center business in Hong Kong and China.
