(Associated Press via NewsEdge) Ericsson said it has signed a deal to expand Taiwanese operator Far EasTone Telecommunication's mobile broadband services network.

No financial details were disclosed but Ericsson said the contract will give Far EasTone the highest High-Speed Packet Access, or HSPA, mobile broadband services penetration in Taiwan.

The deal will also expand the teleoperator's transmission network capacity and mobile positioning service solutions. Network deployment and integration have been started, it said.
