F5 Networks names GM for HK and Macau

Cloud and security solutions provider F5 Networks has appointed Michael Mak as general manager for Hong Kong and Macau.

Mak has joined F5 from IBM, where he led the enterprise market and focused industries for its global business services unit.

He has more than three decades of IT industry experience, having also served in leadership positions at Oracle and Wipro. Mak will report to F5 managing director for greater China Jerry Huang.

“F5’s strength in delivering excellent application experience is second to none. With F5’s rapid expansion and continuous innovation in the multi-cloud application delivery environment and its leadership position in the application security solution space, I am extremely excited to join the winning team of F5 in Greater China,” Mak said.

“I look forward to using my expertise to help F5 continue to grow its business in the Greater China region and deliver world-class service and solutions to its customers.”

Huang added that he will be working closely with Mak to drive F5's further success in the multi-cloud solutions space in Greater China.
