Indian search engine ByIndia.com reports a 700% growth, three months after the firm launches its bundled services. The company said it has launched a social networking and search engine Web site with video, auctions, a blog portal, and classified ads features.

Motorola secures a deal to deploy a nationwide 3G mobile broadband network for Kuwait carrier MTC. Motoroola said part of the deal includes the deployment of HSDPA to further increase download speeds and improve user experience for MTC subscribers

A Stanford University professor said the entry of WiMAX in India would further boost broadband penetration in the country. Prof. A Paulraj said WiMAX technology would help India spread broadband and rural telephony and ruled out any security weakness as feared by telecom experts.
