Chunghwa Telecom launches 'Taiwan Mobile Healthcare Services' enabling anywhere, anytime mobile medical care using a Nortel WiMAX solution. The service is the first WiMAX healthcare network in Taiwan.

Infonetics Research reports that global service provider revenue from mobile video services jumped 317% to almost $200 million worldwide from 2005 to 2006, and is expected to triple in 2007. Similarly, the number of worldwide mobile video subscribers increased more than 300% between 2005 and 2006, the research firm said.

Yahoo rolls out a new personalized version of its travel planning Web site that merges online community, bargain hunting, and Internet mapping technology, reports said. Yahoo said the services makes trip recommendations based on each person's history of activity and shares recommendations and detailed itineraries.
