DTAC stops limiting the validity period of prepaid calling cards, saying it would create free and fair competition for the industry. The move is also expected to spark another round of competition between companies seeking to retain existing customers.

Malaysian firm Cedarcom signs a roaming agreement with iBurst operators in providing international subscriber roaming access between operating countries. An existing iBurst user will be able to have iBurst broadband access in Lebanon, Malaysia, South Africa, Australia, Azerbaijan, Kenya, Tanzania, Norway, and Canada.

The Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) announces five new corporate members of the association drawn from India, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the US.
