FASTTAKES: Huawei Technologies, Motorola, CDC

Huawei Technologies obtains a cdma2000 network contract from Leap Wireless, a US-based mobile carrier. This is the second contract between Huawei and the US-based company after signing a similar contract early this year.

Motorola announces that the company's enterprise mobility business is now a member of the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. The council was established in 2004 to help prevent theft of consumers' financial account data in retail environments.

Chinese firm CDC plans to file with the US Securities and Exchange Commission a registration statement on an initial public offering of Class A common shares of it online gaming subsidiary, CDC Games. The company said it expects the IPO to proceed in the fourth quarter of this year.
