IDA Singapore has set up a new subsidiary, IDA International, to help Singaporean companies export public service ICT solutions.

The Guinness Book of Records has declared Telstra's new 21Mbps network the world's fastest national mobile broadband network, the company announced.

BT has been contracted to provide and manage a unified communications videoconferencing solution for financial messaging provider SWIFT. The contract has a three-year term.

Nokia's Comes With Music service will next be launched in Singapore and Australia, CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo told FT.com.

Zain has partnered with Citigroup, Standard Chartered and other banks to launch a new mobile banking service to over 100 million people in East Africa. The service will be initially available in Kenya and Tanzania prior to launch in Uganda.

T-Mobile and Nokia announced plans at Mobile World Congress to promote their offering for widgets, applications and other content for consumers.

Intec has signed contracts to supply its mediation, billing and settlement solutions to four operators in Europe, Africa and Asia. The agreements are signed with Exatel Poland, Novotel Bangladesh, BBCOM in Benin, and Malaysia's Celcom.

Anam signed deals to supply its Smart Services for SMS for three global mobile operators in Taiwan, Ireland and Vietnam, allowing the operators to offer new value added SMS services, such as ad-fund SMS, anti-spam and Messaging+, which adds email-like functionality to SMS.

Foris Telecom has selected FTS' Leap Billing platform for Wimax operations in southeast Asia, the CIS, South America, and Africa. The platform will support its charging, billing and customer management.

Telefónica Europe has selected Amdocs ChangingWorlds' technology to launch a new mobile internet service that offers an Internet-like portal and a browser bar that provides intuitive navigation support. The agreement includes O2 UK and Czech Republic, which have already launched, and O2 Germany and O2 Ireland, which will launch in 2009.

Aircom International and iBWave develop an in-building optimization solution that integrates Bwave's in-building wireless network design software and Aircom's network optimization tool.
