Motorola yesterday launched an LTE trial network and testing lab in Swindon, UK, with a live, standards-compliant call on the 2.6Ghz spectrum using a prototype LTE device.

Microsoft has expanded its agreement with digital map provider Navteq to encompass all 74 countries in its map database. Microsoft will use the data in its mapping software and internet-based solutions.
