Philippines conglomerate San Miguel has upped its stake in listed-firm Liberty Telecom, which is planning to offer Wimax services in the Philippines.

Tata Teleservices has led India’s mobile net additions battle for the fifth consecutive month, registering 3.3 million net adds in December.

US investment firm Smallcap World Fund has acquired a 5.2% stake in Malaysian Wimax vendorGreen Packet,while Malaysian Wimax operator Redtone is lobbying to extend its license coverage to Peninsular Malaysia.
