T-Mobile International, the wireless unit of Deutsche Telekom, announces the appointment of Katharina Hollender to the position of CFO effective immediately. She succeeds Thomas Winkler, who resigned as of January 31.

Google Earth agrees to blur sensitive images such military and scientific establishments in India, following concerns raised by Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam. Google Earth will start showing low-resolution pictures and distorted buildings as part of the agreement.

Sri Lanka's Mobitel intends to invest further in its mobile communications infrastructure for the introduction of its 3G services, while extending its GSM coverage and capacity. The provider said the capacity will be extended to serve an extra 750,000 subscribers with 800 new base stations.
