Australian operators Telstra and Optus will both launch internal reviews in the wake of the devastating Victorian bushfires, to help ensure their networks remain resilient during a disaster, the Australian IT reported.

Cyclist Lance Armstrong has called upon his 112,000 Twitter fans to help him find his stolen time trial bike, the Guardiansaid. He has uploaded a photograph of the unique bike to the site.

NTT DoCoMo will issue South Korean mobile numbers via its partner KT Freetel to Japanese customers who have signed up to its international roaming service. This will allow Japanese travellers to South Korea to save up to 60% on roaming calls.

Intel and Alcatel-Lucent have announced the Wimax Ensure program - a new interoperability testing program for the Wimax Rev-e standard.
