Vonage says its board of directors has appointed Marc Lefar as company CEO. Lefar replaces Interim CEO Jeffrey Citron, who had assumed the additional role last year.

NTT Com announces that it will begin offering a business service packages specialized for software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers and application service providers operating in Japan. The package is the first to be offered under the firm's BizCITY brand.

Ericsson demonstrates its GPON system for IP TV applications in Malaysia. AT the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council Asia Pacific Conference 2008, the firm also said GPON is currently one of the most popular FTTH technologies with major operators.
