Movius Interactive, previously known as IP Unity Glenayre, has announced a global distribution and services agreement with Action Engine Corp, the on-device portal company.

The two companies will leverage their products to create intuitive and personalized mobile media applications and portals for service providers. Movius selected Action Engine Mobile Application Platform technology as a part its strategy of enabling interactive, advertising-enabled mobile handset applications that deliver a compelling user experience.

Action Engine counts many of today's top media brands as our customers, including AOL, Dow Jones, TiVo and MSNBC.com," said president and CEO of Action Engine Scott G. Silk. "Our partnership with Movius, which has established relationships with top wireless operators in more than 75 countries, expands and accelerates the use of our Mobile Application Platform with wireless operators and other service providers across the globe."

Action Engine will provide Movius with its handset applications framework and management tools to bring interactivity to first-generation mobile media applications, which the company says creates an environment for launching new, feature-rich interactive mobile media services that drive customer loyalty and mobile content revenues.
