Tajikistan\'s President Emomali Rahmon has accused the enemies of his nation of using the internet for spreading lies about his rule and his country.

Reuters reports that in his annual state of the nation address he said internet users had waged a \'deliberate and evil campaign\' against Tajikistan and that \'this information war"&brkbar;is aimed at humiliating Tajikistan\'s role in international politics and at instilling pessimism in our people about their future.\' He added further that 80% of media reports were based on \'lies, slander and biased materials.\'
