Today, a new range of technologies such as 5G, 4.5G evolution, the Internet of things (IoT), and VR/AR are leading the next round of revolution. They are the key to enabling a smart society and the realization of all things sensing, all things connected, and all things intelligent.

From November 15-16, Huawei will outline its vision on the future of mobile connectivity at its 8th Global Mobile Broadband Forum to be held at the ExCeL Centre in London, UK.

The Global MBB Forum 2017, hosted by Huawei with its Industry Partners GSMA and GTI, will gather global operators, vertical industry partners, and opinion leaders from various sectors to engage in valuable and inspiring discussions on the theme of “Mobile Reshapes the World”.

Together they will showcase 5G, mobile video, and the latest mobile broadband industry trends—from connected cars to robotics and the IoT, all of which will help reshape our world through a ubiquitous mobile ecosystem.

The event will feature break-out sessions featuring face-to-face, in-depth communication with industry leaders and experts on a variety of important topics. Among them: 5G, 4.5G evolution, digital transformation opportunities in emerging markets, Huawei's Wireless X Labs, core network evolution, network O&M, and cyber security.

Exhibition Overview
Innovative technologies (4.5G, 5G, AI, IoT, robotics, and drones) are leading the innovative technologies (5G, 4.5G evolution, IoT, robotics, and drones) are leading the digitalization of a diverse range of industries. We'll imagine a better connected world by examining how "Mobile Reshapes the World."

Here, you will encounter the most advanced mobile communication technologies and solutions, and enjoy the fastest mobile network.

Here, you will experience remote driving (on roads over 100 kilometers away), play soccer in a fully interactive virtual setting, or engage in several combat scenarios provided by AR/VR mobile video gaming. Whatever your preference, fully immerse yourself in an exciting new world reshaped by the 2017 Global MBB Forum.

Make 5G a reality

5G enables a digital society. With the continuous testing of key technologies and the development of standards and ecosystem, 5G is entering the real world. Here, Huawei will showcase uplink-downlink decoupling technology, flexible 5G RAN architecture, and achievements in 5G mmWave. You will also see innovative discoveries by operators and Huawei in the field of 5G New Radio, as well as joint exploration with vertical industry leaders in connected cars and smart factories.

Architecture evolution
How to achieve high- and low-frequency coordination on multi-band and multi-RAT networks? How to improve spectral efficiency? Here, Huawei will demonstrate its CloudAIR solution, which permits dynamic spectrum sharing of GSM/UMTS, GSM/LTE, and LTE/NR. This will help save spectrum resources while realizing LTE high- and low-frequency coordination to improve FDD+TDD coverage.
Huawei will also present a series of its SingleRAN base stations, which include 5G-oriented site types and new AAUs using massive MIMO on the C-band. These innovative technologies will demonstrate the 5G-oriented features of huge capacity and multiple bands and antennas.

Experience evolution
Users are always pursuing a superior experience. Three key technologies that enable Gbps network rates: carrier aggregation (CA), 4x4 MIMO, and 256QAM. Huawei will demonstrate with these three technologies how it is possible to reach a record-high network speed of 1.9Gbps. Additionally, you will see the 4T4R and 8T8R products that support 5G basic networks, as well as various 4R mobile devices and massive MIMO that deals with the capacity issues of super hot spots.

Service evolution
Future networks must be able to support services such as VoLTE, NB-IoT, LiTRA, C-V2X, and WTTx to maintain sustainable evolution. Here, we will show how to construct such a network with the latest technologies and solutions. Together with partners, Huawei will showcase NB-IoT for IoT, LiTRA for public security, and WTTx for home broadband.

Wireless X Labs
Future applications are the direct force that drives the development of the industry and the market. Wireless X Labs is dedicated to the study and exploration of future applications. Huawei will display the progress it has jointly attained with its partners since 2016, when the lab was first established.

These achievements include 5G wireless connected smart factories, wireless control of automated vehicles and robotics, and cloud-based industrial cameras. Other examples include connected drones, the world's first wireless charging base station for drones, cloud-based AI guiding helmets, and remote medical treatment with the low latency of 5G.
