The future of mobile data billing

Telecoms.com Intelligence on behalf of Openet

This Telecoms.com Intelligence research report examines how mobile data billing needs to change in the next 24 months.

The research carried out in association with Openet, surveyed 200 mobile operators worldwide and found that 90% of them want real-time data available in their billing systems, but only 20% currently have real-time.

It gives a detailed insight into three key aspects:

  • How new data pricing, packaging and business models will force traditional post-paid billing systems to support real-time data
  • The services that operators are going to roll-out that need real-time billing data
  • The impact that customer network experience and regulatory advances will have on billing systems
