HK tech newcomer develops cloud-based data security app

Hong Kong-based nwStor Limited announced a new cloud-based data security application software that allows users to control their protected sensitive data in cloud and all end-point devices.

The cloud-based uSav App provides encryption to files by adopting the AES-256 bit encryption standard used by the US Government, and assigning a unique key for every file. Encryption and decryption of files can be done by dragging them onto the App.

Being a cloud-based application software, uSav App let users to control their own data security on any cloud or local storage devices (including iOS, Android and Windows devices) to protect the sensitive data saved in the cloud, databases, smart phones, tablet PC and USB.

Users can customize the receiver authority to access encrypted files, set time limits for decryption, number of times a file can be accessed or change the authority of specified individuals or groups after sending the file. All changes and access of files by recipients will be logged on the App for easy management.

nwStor Limited is a graduate incubatee of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC). Incubatees under the Incu-Tech Programme receive capital and angel funds, and are encouraged to register their intellectual properties and participate in technical and design awards.
