Huawei announced a new partnership with Aero2, Poland’s leading mobile broadband operator, to launch the world’s first LTE TDD/FDD converged commercial telecommunications network.

Leveraging Huawei’s innovative SingleRAN LTE solution, the LTE TDD/FDD network will be the fastest mobile network in Poland, boosting high-speed mobile internet access with downlink data speeds of 134Mb/s and uplink speeds of 124.8Mb/s.

“We are thrilled to partner with Huawei on a further breakthrough in network deployment by launching the world’s first LTE TDD/FDD network, which will enhance user experience with improved data speeds and create a more compact and efficient network infrastructure,” said Adam Kuriański, president of Aero2.

The LTE TDD/FDD network launch marks another milestone in Huawei’s partnership with Aero2. In May 2011, Huawei and Aero2 successfully deployed the world’s first LTE TDD commercial network – a collaboration that received the 2011 Global Telecommunications Business (GTB) Innovation award.

As of the second quarter, Huawei has deployed over 130 SingleRAN commercial networks, which are capable of evolving into LTE, of which more than 40 operators have announced the launch or the imminent launch of LTE services
