As the fastest growing market and one of the most competitive telecoms markets in the world, India is the hotbed of telecom activity in the world - India has hit the magical figure of 200 million subscribers and this includes wireless (GSM, CDMA, WLL-F) and fixed line phones. India now ranks 4th in mobile subscribers behind China, USA and Russia with mobile telecoms outpacing fixed lines 4 times over. By 2010, telecom companies are looking to achieve 400 million phones and before 2007 is over, India will be on 250 million mobile phones!
