A major Australian telco has signed a multi-million-dollar contract with Intec for the provision of the BSS/OSS software vendor's Convergent Mediation solution, which will enable the carrier to converge its mediation platforms into one to accelerate the rapid launch of next-generation converged services.

According to Intec, many carriers are looking to reduce operating expenses through systems convergence, making the performance and flexibility of Intec Convergent Mediation a "favorite choice" for this role.

The Australian telco's selection of the Intec Convergent Mediation platform is part of the carrier's strategy to revolutionize its IT infrastructure.
