DataPath has signed a joint marketing agreement with Qualcomm for the delivery of integrated satellite and cellular communications solutions for battlefield and disaster situations.
As a first step in their joint marketing efforts, the companies have collaborated to design the Integrated Tactical Cellular Communications Solution (ITCCS), which links satcom connectivity with a deployable cellular base station to establish a local network for up to 150 simultaneous cell phone users, typically within a five to 10-mile radius.
ITCCS can enable secure, mobile and high-bandwidth communications anywhere, even in locations or situations with little or no existing communications infrastructure.
