Integrated VOD architecture

Dolby Laboratories subsidiary Cinea, Harmonic and NDS have collaborated on the development of an integrated video-on-demand (VoD) solution that harnesses Cinea's Running Marks watermarking technology, Harmonic's VOD platform, and NDS' conditional access solution VideoGuard.

The integrated-solution architecture will allow system operators to easily deploy VOD with built-in conditional access and session-based watermarking without having to upgrade their deployed set-top boxes.

The solution is in response to the increasing interest in adding forensic watermarking to systems. As it is easily integrated into existing security solutions, it can enable new content-consumption models.
