iPass has announced a roaming partnership with Aircell for in-flight WiFi connectivity available later this year.

Under the agreement, iPass subscribers will be able to connect to Aircell's GoGo network, which will become available on American Airlines, Virgin America and other airlines later this year.

The partnership intends to take advantage of a million subscribers using iPass every quarter.

"This gives Aircell partner airlines an additional competitive advantage in terms of in-flight customer service," said Robin Salem, Aircell senior vice president for strategy and business development.

The GoGo service provides WiFi connectivity in commercial flights. Each paid session also includes access to the Wall Street Journal Online.
