International Korean television channel KBS World has now reached the Middle East, following the signing of a distribution partnership agreement among Korean Broadcasting System, GlobeCast and satellite operator Arabsat.

Arabsat receives KBS World from the PAS10 satellite in Jordan's Media City, where it is multiplexed and uplinked onto the GlobeCast platform on Arabsat 2D for free-to-air DTH distribution throughout the Middle East.

Located at 25.8 degrees East, the Arabsat 2D platform provides coverage of the Middle East and Northern Africa and will allow KBS World to serve the rapidly expanding Asian community in this region.
