Kirusa names Atanu Mandal MD for India

Kirusa, a provider of mobile social media and value added services, has named Atanu Mandal as managing director for India.
 
Mandal comes to Kirusa from Unified Telecom, where he was a director. Prior to this, he was president at ACL Wireless, in charge of sales, service delivery, and product development.
 
Mandal started Cellnext Solutions, the first Indian mobile VAS company, in 2000. Prior to that, he worked in various key positions with telecom operators, including serving as head of strategy & planning for Escotel (now Idea Cellular), CFO for Modi Telstra (now Bharti Airtel), and CMO for Essar Cellphone (now Vodafone) during 1995-2000.
