Korea Telecom has contracted Adtran to deliver the technology to support the operator's carrier Ethernet services.

Under the arrangement, KT will purchase Adtran's Total Access 5000 multiservice access and aggregation platform, as well as its NetVanta 800 series of network termination units.

Adtran said the equipment will allow KT to offer Ethernet over bonded circuits initially, and scale up to optical Ethernet for future Gigabit Ethernet services.
