KVH has launched a new connectivity service to the Osaka Access Point of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Direct Connect.

With this service, customers can now receive low cost, low latency connectivity to AWS Direct Connect in the Kansai area in Japan.

The company said connectivity to the Osaka Access Point of AWS Direct Connect is offered with etherXEN, KVH’s next-generation bandwidth guarantees an Ethernet service which previously only available in Tokyo and Singapore.

KVH etherXEN for AWS is a purpose-built and cloud-centric network solution, offering a dedicated private network to AWS from the customer’s data center, office, co-location environment, and other premise, KVH said.

In addition to delivering etherXEN within a short lead time, KVH can flexibly and promptly meet requests for bandwidth upgrades and downgrades, allowing users to start small and quickly scale up or down as bandwidth demand dictates, the company added.
