Dilithium has introduced live video and video-on-demand (VoD) streaming support for the iPhone, using the Dilithium Content Adapter (DCA).
When deployed by operators and service providers, the DCA iPhone solution enables iPhone users to access live or on-demand video content through the standard iPhone Safari browser.
The solution supports live and pre-recorded clips in a wide range of video formats, as well as performs on-the-fly and on-demand media format and codec adaptation. No special application needs to be installed, and users can take advantage of streaming capabilities on Wi-Fi, Wimax, 3G or 3.5G (HSDPA) networks.
