Businesses are primed to spend $1.8 billion on location-based advertising in 2015 as part of their overall mobile marketing budgets, according to a new study from ABI Research.

ABI director Neil Strother says new players must first establish marketing goals, analyze customers’ mobile and location habits, and develop a location approach.

Following that, location partners must be chosen and the best technologies for one’s brand must be determined.
