Singapore cellco M1 will launch its AppStore today, offering content from all major mobile platforms.
It also said it would offer developers cash, revenue share deals and other incentives to help them commercialize their applications.
“We hope to attract more developers to join us in growing the M1 AppStore into a significant center for content development,” said Alex Tan, deputy director, product development at M1.
The AppStore is hosting iPhone, Android, Symbian, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Java apps.
Customers can access the M1 AppStore at http://appstore.m1.com.sg or log into the Miworld Mobile portal on their mobile phone. Developers interested in the incentive scheme can register at http://appstore.m1.com.sg/developer.
