GPS device maker MiTAC will continue to use digital maps and location-based solutions from Tele Atlas.

MiTAC said it has signed a new agreement with Tele Atlas to use the latter's digital maps in its Mio and Navman devices until 2011.

This new agreement extends the partnership between the two companies that began in 2005.

Through this agreement, Mio and Navman devices will be able to use Tele Atlas' navigable map data for 74 countries and other content for nearly 30 million of points of interest or POIs, according to MiTAC.
