Mobile Wimax RF chip

Sequans Communications has launched its newest chip, the SQN1140 RFIC (radio frequency integrated circuit), for mobile Wimax Wave 2 end-user devices.According to Sequans, the chip is a high performance, low power RF chip designed to integrate directly with the company's SQN1130 mobile Wimax baseband chip for a total mobile Wimax 802.16e-2005 solution.

The SQN1140 is a dual channel MIMO Wimax RF chip based on CMOS process technology. It delivers dual transmit and dual receive MIMO operation and is designed to support the advanced MIMO technology, mimoMAX, of Sequans' SQN1130 baseband chip.
