Motorola's home and networks mobility unit has added the Wireless Broadband Radio (WBR) 500 series frame-based eNodeB to its long-term evolution portfolio.

The WBR 500 series can be deployed in both new and existing GSM, UMTS, HSPA, CDMA, or TD-SCDMA cell sites, and will support FDD or TDD.

It will be available in a range of frequencies from 700MHz to 2.6GHz with bandwidths from 1.4 MHz to 20MHz.

GM Bruce Brda said new technology will let users enjoy a desktop-like broadband experience while on the go.
