MTN Rwanda launches cloud services

MTN Rwanda has introduced cloud computing services that are expected to help businesses minimize costs and improve productivity.

MTN’s cloud services provide business automation tools to enterprises across professional services, micro-finance, health and small and medium Enterprises (SMEs) sectors.

The new MTN Business Cloud offerings are:

  • Cloud Collaboration - for companies to share their documents wherever they are;
  • Cloud Backup - to keep documents and other files secure in the event of data corruption, theft or other losses;
  • Cloud Customer Management - for companies to access their customer information irrespective of where they are;
  • MozyPro - a back-up service for the effective management of files and servers;
  • McAfee Anti-virus and email security.

MTN business general manager Norman Munyampundu said “As the first telecoms operator to offer cloud services to businesses in Rwanda, MTN will be providing access to ICT services to businesses while helping them minimize their infrastructure costs.”

MTN Cloud Services are available in Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Cameroon, Guinea Conakry, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa and Swaziland.
