NetCracker Technology has completed the first phase of OSS transformation at the VimpelCom Group. The OSS solution that NetCracker has so far deployed for VimpelCom includes modules such as Resource Inventory, Discovery and Reconciliation, Outside Plant, and Order Management.
NetCracker says its solution helps VimpelCom improve the overall efficiency and management of the network.
The solution also provides reduced operational expenses on VoIP and PSTN service activation through a reduction in the number of inventory systems, increased data quality and improved efficiency and accuracy of the service planning process through the creation of regular reconciliations with the live network, and reduced IT support and maintenance costs through the consolidation and retirement of multiple legacy systems.
