(Wireless News via NewsEdge) Luxoft has introduced a new Open Source test automation tool called FITpro.

Designed to leverage the Open Source automated testing framework Fit, FITpro makes acceptance testing easier and more efficient by providing the tools to create, manage and execute tests from within the Eclipse development environment.

With FITpro users can build requirements that double as tests and quickly create new tests based on existing fixtures via a template tool, create and execute test suites and ordered groupings of tests, execute Fit tests and Fit test folders and suites directly within Eclipse, link from Fit tests to fixtures providing traceability, and view result summaries in the Eclipse console after test execution linking to familiar color-coded, tabular report formats.
