Texas Instruments introduced the industry's highest integrated 2.4GHz radio frequency (RF) front end for low-power and low-voltage wireless applications.

TI said its CC2591 front-end increases the range (link budget) in wireless systems by integrating a power amplifier for increased output power of +22 dBm and a low-noise amplifier for improved receiver sensitivity of +6 dB.

The CC2591 is designed for all 2.4GHz wireless systems, such as ZigBee networks, sensors and industrial, consumer and audio equipment.

It also provides a seamless interface to all of TI's existing and future 2.4-GHz RF transceivers, transmitters and system-on-chip products for faster development time and improved RF performance.

The CC2591 is available from TI and its authorized distributors in a 4 millimeter x 4 millimeter QFN-16 package. Suggested resale pricing starts at $3.15 in 1,000-piece quantities.
