Nortel has expanded its partnership with ANDA Networks to integrate intelligent network termination equipment into Nortel's Metro Ethernet Networks portfolio.

Philippe Morin, president of Nortel's Metro Ethernet Networks, said the change enables Nortel to include an additional Ethernet access customer location equipment option with carrier-class quality of service and rich operation, administration and maintenance features as a part of its end-to-end solution.

This will allow Nortel to provide a solution that makes it simple for service providers to offer efficient and cost-effective hosted enhanced VPN services to businesses.

"By simplifying network operations and increasing capacity with E-VPN services, Nortel is positioning service providers to take better advantage of Hyperconnectivity, a global megatrend where everything that can be connected to the network, will be connected," Morin said. "Nortel's end-to-end solution enables service providers to meet business users' growing demands for bandwidth."
