NTT Communications plans to expand its presence in India, and start offering network services in the nation by the end of the year.

NTT Com India plans to establish a branch office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, its sixth branch in the nation – and start offering ICT services out of the office from June.

The operator also plans to secure a unified license that will allow it to provide national long distance (NLD) services in India by the end of the year.

To facilitate this NTT Com plans to set up a new subsidiary in India - NTT Communications India Network Services – in May this year.

Specific offerings planned include private network services such as IP-VPN connectivity to data centers or the cloud. NTT Com already offers data center and cloud services in the market via subsidiary Netmagic Solutions.

In a statement, the company said that it “looks forward to steadily expanding its ICT business infrastructure in India to help customers further accelerate their business development.”
