Pantech secures deal to sell 30m handsets to UTStarcom unit

South Korean mobile phone maker Pantech has signed a deal to sell 30 million handsets to a unit of US wireless equipment maker UTStarcom, a Reuters report said.

The company however did not give the actual value of the deal, the Reuters report said.

Pantech said in a filing with the Korea Exchange it would sell the CDMA handsets to UTStarcom Personal Communications between October 2006 and December 2009, according to the Reuters report.
