Irwin Jacobs steps down as Qualcomm chairman
Qualcomm co-founder Irwin Jacobs has stepped down as chairman. Jacobs, 75, who was CEO of Qualcomm since it was founded in 1985 until 2005, will remain on the board.
Viaccess appoints sales EVP
Kris Warreyn has joined Viaccess as the company's executive vice president of sales. Before joining Viaccess, Warreyn has twenty years of experience in leading successful global sales organizations within the telecom/high tech industry. He began his career at Dassault Electronics before moving on to assume a number of sales management positions in E2S, a Belgian software company and Sick, a German company.
Tadiran Telecom hires country manager
Tadiran Telecom has appointed Mike Montgomery as country manager to lead the company's operations in Australia. Prior to his appointment, Montgomery served in numerous senior management and marketing roles in Telstra, Datacraft technologies, Fujitsu and Australian Communications Consortium.
Flytxt appoints Group CEO
Flytxt, a mobile marketing technology company, has appointed Dr. Vinod V Vasudevan, as group CEO. He succeeds Tim Williams, who will take on the role of executive vice president of worldwide sales. Prior to joining Flytxt, Vasudevan was SVP and head of integrated services at Reliance Communications.
Bruce Claflin chairs AMD
AMD has appointed Bruce Claflin as chairman of the company's board of directors, replacing Hector Ruiz. Claflin has been a member of AMD's board since August, 2003. Waleed Al Mokarrab, COO of Mubadala Development Company, has also been appointed to AMD's board.
