Sony Ericsson US chief steps down

Sony Ericsson's North American chief Najmi Jarwala has resigned. His position will be filled by executive vice president Anders Runevad until a successor is found, the company said.

 

New CEO at Shared Spectrum

Thomas A. Stroup has joined Shared Spectrum Company as CEO, succeeding Mark McHenry, who will continue to serve as president and CTO.

 

A wireless communications industry executive with over 20 years of experience, Stroup was most recently CEO of SquareLoop, a Reston-based provider of geographically-targeted messaging to mobile phones, PDAs and other wireless devices.

 

Emerson names VP for energy systems

Emerson Network Power has promoted Ross Campbell as VP for its energy systems business in Asia Pacific. Prior to this role, Campbell was senior director for Emerson's telecom business, responsible for key accounts in the region.

 

 

NeoPhotonics appoints GM

NeoPhotonics has named K.Y. Chan as GM of NeoPhotonics China, based in Shenzhen. Chan comes to NeoPhotonics from EcoTech International Group, a company he co-founded, which provides clean technology and operations consulting to property managers in China and the US.

 

Previously, he held management positions at Advanced Micro Devices, Picsel Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, and Motorola.
