Ericssonshowcased its adaptive multi rate (AMR) Wideband technology at the Mobile World Congress. The technology, which can improve the quality of voice transmissions via handsets that support it, can be implemented in both GSM and W-CDMA/HSPA networks.

Microsoft has developed a mobile interface for Telstra subscribers using Windows Mobile devices. The interface offers one-click access to common Windows Mobile programs, as well as Telstra services such as BigPond and Sensis Search.

AT4 Wireless has launched the T4110 LTE Protocol Test System, which has been developed to assist protocol stack teams, test houses and UE certification laboratories. It is based on the E2010 Broadband Wireless Test Set.

Qualcomm has launched the first integrated chipset solution which supports all leading mobile broadband standards, including CDMA 2000, SV-DO, multi-carrier HSPA+ and LTE.
