Synchronica has added social networking site support to its Mobile Gateway 4.0 solution. Sites such as Twitter, Flickr and LinkedIn are supported, allowing users to automatically receive updates when new content is made available.

Sun has launched the JavaFX Mobile Platform, which runs on top of Sun's Java Platform Micro Edition. Several handset makers, service providers and ISVs - including Sony Ericsson, LG and Sprint - have already partnered with Sun to develop JavaFX handsets.

F-Secure has ported its Mobile Security suite to the Symbian S60 5th Edition OS. It is one of the first products to take advantage of Symbian's new touchscreen UI. F-Secure will port the suite to Windows Mobile in the coming months.
