Rohde & Schwarz has released its new R&S TS8977 test system, which handles standard-compliant measurements on terminal equipment that supports Wimax and other broadband wireless access standards.

The R&S TS8977 makes it possible for the first time to run test cases stipulated by the new ETSI R&TTE directive.

In order to enable seamless spurious emission testing, the new solution covers a very wide frequency range from 9 kHz to a maximum of 40 GHz, depending on the application.

By offering a high degree of automation, the R&S TS8977 reduces operator involvement and minimizes the probability of error for such extensive tests that usually take several hours.
