Ruckus Networks and Singtel Group Enterprise have revealed that they collaborated to provide carrier-grade connectivity for the recent historic US-North Korea peace summit in Singapore in June.

The companies were selected to design and deploy wired and wireless networks for around 2,500 media professionals from international and local news agencies at the impromptu International Media Center set up at Singapore's F1 Pit Building.

The 23,000 square meter International Media Center has around 23,000 square meters of space. During the summit on June 13 there were around 2,000 workstations with TV screens streaming live coverage of media events.

Ruckus Networks provided Wi-Fi access points and switches for the network, which has designed and deployed in just eight days.

“In order to provide our customers with high-quality services, Singtel partners with technology leaders such as Ruckus Networks, whose participation was essential in the design and deployment of the networks for the historic summit,” Singtel associate director for global delivery Cobbie Chan said.

“Associate Director, Global Delivery, Singtel. “We are committed to working closely with technology partners like Ruckus, as we strive to provide our users with the best possible network experience.”
