SingTel Group and Samsung have announced a partnership to help develop and drive adoption of next-generation mobile communication, infotainment and technology services in Asia.

Under this new partnership, the two companies will work together to identify opportunities for joint launches and marketing campaigns and leverage each other’s distribution channels to extend their retail reach to more customers.

They will also jointly offer applications and digital services to customers of SingTel Group companies, including Advanced Info Service (Thailand), Airtel, Globe Telecom (Philippines), Optus (Australia), SingTel (Singapore) and Telkomsel (Indonesia).

SingTel said combining the advantages of the scale of its mobile brands and Samsung’s mobile device capabilities will grow the 3G and 4G customer base in each market and also enhance the experience of mobile customers and broaden their access to intelligent networks.

“SingTel Group and Samsung will deliver an exciting mobile experience for customers,” SingTel CEO International Mark Chong said. “Not only will our companies mutually benefit, but our combined 400 million mobile customers will be able to take advantage of the unique offerings that will be provided in the future.”
