SK Telecom has launched the world\'s first mobile telematics service dubbed Mobile in Vehicle (MIV), which enables remote control of vehicles via mobile phones.

During the Auto Shanghai 2009 motor show held last week, SK Telecom demonstrated such services in the areas of vehicle diagnosis and control, safety and security, route guidance, and entertainment.

The company plans to commercialize a mass-production type of MIV within this year by forging partnerships with global carmakers to equip pre-delivery vehicles with MIV service.
